Not that you need another reason to like Tommy Haas, but we will give you one anyway.
The 34-year-old became the oldest tennis player to upset a No. 1 after he beat Novak Djokovic at the Sony Open on Tuesday night.
Even better: This outfit he wore for the last few games. The Associated Press say that he “won ugly.” Lavender shirt, red sweatband, black shoes with lime trim, and a blue hat. Haas doesn’t really care. Because he won.
“Yeah, I’m pretty pathetic I think when it comes to colour matching,” he said after the match. “Sometimes I look at myself in the mirror before I go out and I’m like, ‘Jeez, what was I thinking?’ I guess if I maybe had a clothing contract it would be different.” (Photo: Matthew Stockman/Getty Images)
JUMP: Five-time champion Serena Williams advanced Tuesday to the Sony Open semi-finals and tied the women’s record for career victories in the tournament by beating No. 5-seeded Li Na 6-3, 7-6 (5).
The top-ranked Williams overcame six double-faults and rallied in the second set from a 5-2 deficit. She hit six winners in the tiebreaker, including a forehand passing shot cross-court on the final point.
When Williams smacked a winner on match point she jumped for joy cannonball-style, knees high and fist raised.
“I don’t usually leap like that in the quarter-final,” she said. “But it was just a good shot.” (Photo: Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images)
Don’t mind us tennis players, we’re just hanging out with some dolphins. Just your average Tuesday. The usual.

Canadian tennis player Rebecca Marino quits after cyberbullying
Marino announced on Wednesday she has decided to “step away from tennis.” While the former world No. 38 did not give specifics about the departure, she recently revealed part of the reason why she went on a seven-month hiatus last February was because of cyberbullying.
The 22-year-old told the New York Times last week she has found the Internet criticism that often comes with being a pro athlete overwhelming at times, and it played a role in her deciding to take a seven-month hiatus from the game about a year ago.
“They’ll say, ‘You gave that match away, you cost me such-and-such amount of money, you should go burn in hell,’ or ‘You should go die,’” she told the Times. “And oh, my gosh, that is really scary.” (Photo: Peter J. Thompson/National Post)
Canada took a few big steps at the 2013 Fed Cup on Saturday, beating Brazil 2-1 to advance to the World Group II playoffs in April.
Sharon Fichman of Toronto, started the day off with a 6-0 set victory before falling 6-0, 6-4 against Paula Cristina Goncalves in the next two sets to leave Canada with an uphill climb for the rest of the day.
Eugenie Bouchard picked up the slack with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Teliana Pereira and force a decisive doubles match. The 18-year-old won all four of her singles matches this week without losing a set playing as her squad’s no. 1 player.
