For Louisville players and coaches, it was far worse. Ware’s teammates were overcome with emotion.
Luke Hancock patted Ware on the chest after Ware rolled himself to the sideline and right in front of the Louisville bench. Behanan and several other players sat on the floor as Ware was treated and some, including Behanan, cried. Duke guard Tyler Thornton covered his eyes when he realized what had happened.
The good news is Ware is out of surgery and resting — and his coaches even visited him in the hospital with their new trophy. (Photos: Michael Conroy, Darren Cummings/The Associated Press)

How to pick a team to follow during March Madness If you are looking for in-depth analysis to help you fill out an NCAA Basketball Tournament bracket, this is not the place for you. This year, nobody knows a thing. Indiana, Duke, Louisville, Michigan and, finally, Gonzaga have all had shots on top of the Associated Press top-25 rankings. And even though only two teams have been within 10 points of Spokane’s finest in the last two months, it is hard to know what that means in the West Coast Conference, which lacks prestige.
All of that means filling out your bracket will be a nightmare. There will be upsets, likely more than normal, but guessing where they will come is just that — a guess. (Photo: Elsa/Getty Images)
That’s right: Adidas redesigned a few NCAA uniforms for the post-season and they sure are, uh, bright, and things. And the camouflage is a nice touch. It will help them blend in on the floor. (Handout/Adidas)
