Welcome to NFL immortality, Joe Flacco.
Somewhere up there in the all-time playoff archives near the “Hail Mary” by Staubach and the “Immaculate Reception” by Franco now lives the “Flacco Fling” by the Baltimore Ravens quarterback.
One big throw down the sideline, 70 make-or-break yards on a wing and a prayer — a high, arcing touchdown pass that soared through the icy air, flew over two defenders, landed in the hands of Jacoby Jones, saved the game for Baltimore and kept Ray Lewis’ 17-year career going at least one more week.
The record will show Justin Tucker kicked a 47-yard field goal 1:42 into the second overtime Saturday to give the Ravens a 38-35 victory over Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. The highlight? That would be Flacco’s game-tying touchdown to Jones on third-and-3 from the 30 with 31 seconds left in regulation and no timeouts. (Photos: Jeff Gross/Getty Images, Doug Pensinger/Getty Images)
Uh oh. Peyton Manning has reportedly chosen to join the Denver Broncos, but what does that mean for Tim Tebow? A trade could be in the works once Manning’s contract is finalized.

No, Tim Tebow is not dating Lindsey Vonn
But she can Tebow like no other. The Olympic ski champion explained on her blog that she is just friends with the Denver Broncos quarterback and his family. Photo: Don Emmert/AFP/Getty Images
Tebow, Tebow and more Tebow
Wild wins are becoming routine for Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, who flail away through most of four quarters before coming through in the clutch.
Matt Prater’s 51-yard field goal 6 1/2 minutes into overtime gave the Broncos a 13-10 victory over the stunned Chicago Bears on Sunday. Prater’s 59-yarder with 3 seconds left in regulation tied the score after Tebow led another rally.
“If you believe,” Tebow said, “then unbelievable things can sometimes be possible.”
It was Denver’s sixth straight win and seventh in eight games since Tebow, dubbed the “Mile High Messiah,” was promoted to starter. The Broncos have trailed in the second half in six of those victories. Photo: Rick Wilking/Reuters
